Welcome to Piedmont Driving Academy!
My name is Elizabeth Calhoun.  My husband, Tony, and I decided to start this academy because of the great demand for quality driving instruction and the need for flexible scheduling.  We offer a small class environment that encourages open discussion and student participation. We know from experience how difficult it can be to schedule classroom and driving hours around a teenager's athletic and extra curricular activities.  Therefore, we offer a choice of evening and weekend classes and will also schedule classes during student vacations.
We are both certified and licensed by the North Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles.  I have eleven years teaching experience in both Christian and Public schools and currently hold a North Carolina teaching license.  Tony has twelve years of commercial driving experience.  We believe learning to drive safely is one of the most important skills we can teach our children and we take this responsibility seriously.  Our mission is to prepare students to enter the highways of life with a desire to become safe and responsible drivers.
